The Food

Early morning, the aroma of fresh-ground coffee awakens your senses. In the evening, fragrant hints of Asia float in on the ocean breeze. Lagoon House Kitchen presents minimalist South East Asian BBQ and fresh local ingredients prepared with a touch of Aussie culture, infused with Far North Queensland soul. The delicious local produce is hero for breakfast and dinner resulting in a collection of dishes that guests crave. Opened in March 2023, Lagoon House Restaurant invites  locals and visitors to come together to enjoy Asian-inspired fare made to share.

The Location

Just metres away down a tropical garden path Four Mile Beach and a few steps in the other are the main facilities of the Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort Port Douglas, one of Australia's most iconic beachfront holiday destinations.

The Open Kitchen

The dining experience at Lagoon House is one shared and celebrated by all. A dramatic open kitchen is the focal point of the restaurant giving diners the opportunity to watch the talented chefs as they prepare and plate up delicious meals. The countertop dining space is perfect for guests dining alone or who want a seat close to the action and to engage one-on-one with the culinary team.

The Long Table

The Long Table celebrates the spirit of togetherness and invites like-minded travelers, locals and guests to connect and share experiences, reinforcing Sheraton's commitment to be a place "Where the World Gathers". The long table is ideal for a family or group of friends up to 12 people sharing from the 'Feed Me' Menu which is a clever combination of dishes selected by the Chef featuring the freshest, tastiest dishes on the menu.

The Gong

A Gong with the Tai Loi symbol (translated as 'happiness has arrived') sounds throughout the venue each time happiness is about to arrive on a plate. Gongs are a powerful transformational and therapeutic instrument with deep heritage of use for ritual, prayer, ceremony and meditation since the bronze age. When the Lagoon House Gong sounds, a gentle hum echoes feelings of connectedness between local and global guests and the resort team curating their dining experience.

The Golden Coconut

When locals and travellers stroll along the pristine stretch of sand on Four Mile Beach right on the restaurant's doorstep, they keep a keen eye to spot the golden coconut. In a nod to the native produce of the region, a golden coconut is perched upon the entrance to help passersby locate the pathway that leads to Lagoon House.
