The Location

Just metres away, a tropical garden path leads to Four Mile Beach, while a few steps in the opposite direction bring you to the main facilities of the Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort Port Douglas, one of Australia’s most iconic beachfront holiday destinations.

The Open Kitchen

The dining experience at Lagoon House is one to be shared and celebrated by all. A dramatic open kitchen takes center stage, allowing guests to watch our talented chefs craft and plate each dish with care. The countertop dining space offers an intimate vantage point, perfect for solo diners or anyone who wants to be close to the action and engage directly with the culinary team.

The Long Table

The Long Table celebrates the spirit of togetherness, inviting travelers, locals, and guests to connect and share memorable experiences, embodying Sheraton’s promise to be a place "Where the World Gathers." Perfect for families or groups of up to 12, the Long Table showcases the Chef’s curated ‘Feed Me’ Menu, a thoughtfully selected combination of the freshest and most flavourful dishes, designed for sharing and savouring together.

The Sound of Connection

The Gong at Lagoon House

A gong bearing the Tai Loi symbol—translated as “happiness has arrived”—resonates throughout the venue each time a dish is ready to be served. Gongs are powerful transformational and therapeutic instruments, deeply rooted in ritual, prayer, ceremony, and meditation since the Bronze Age. When the Lagoon House gong sounds, its gentle hum fosters a sense of connection between local and global guests and the resort team thoughtfully curating their dining experience.

A Coastal Beacon

The Golden Coconut in Port Douglas

As locals and travelers stroll along the pristine sands of Four Mile Beach, just steps from the restaurant, they keep a watchful eye for the golden coconut. A tribute to the region’s native produce, this striking symbol is perched at the entrance, guiding passersby along the garden path that leads to Lagoon House.

Reviews

A night out with the girls was made even more fabulous with a great backdrop, great service and an amazing array of food. We had the eggplant, Korean chicken, papaya salad, pork rolls, brocolini, BBQ chicken skewers and drinks. Everything was delicious. Thank you to the wonderful chefs and lovely wait staff for a great evening.

I'm a local and decided to drop in for breakfast during my walk on Four Mile Beach. It was a delicious surprise as I'd heard about the Asian-inspired menu but didn't expect to taste the one of the best Nasi Goreng I have ever had. Loved the mango smoothie too. I'll be back. 5⭐️
